Almond Butter Hot Chocolate
There’s nothing like a warm mug of hot chocolate on a cold winter evening. It’s a special treat when it has a hint of almond. This can be made with dairy or non-dairy milk. Either way it’s delicious. Makes 2 servings so you can share!
Ingredients:
2½ cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1½ oz dark chocolate, chopped.
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoons sugar (more to taste)
2 tablespoons almond butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1 Bring milk to boil in a medium saucepan.
2 In the meantime, combine the chopped chocolate, cocoa powder, almond butter, honey and vanilla in a blender.
3 Once the milk is hot, add it to the blender with the other ingredients.
4 Secure the lid and slowly increase the speed.
5 Blend until it is creamy and smooth.
6 Top with whipped cream if you want to be totally decadent.
Enjoy!
